Garden Design

with sustainability in mind

THE VISION

Every garden has its own unique character.

Every garden and outdoor space has its own unique character. It is often influenced by its surroundings — architectural or industrial; mature housing or new build; village setting or open countryside.

Aspects of sustainability can be interwoven with the use of peat free compost, organic manure, locally sourced and recycled materials and plants sourced from British growers. My aim is to achieve my client's aspirations combined with long-term viability and spaces that will organically evolve.

The Design Approach

Contact & Consultation

From an initial conversation a site visit and consultation is arranged. This provides an opportunity for me to get to know my clients; their needs, wants and aspirations.

The Brief

Following the consultation and further site visits as required, the brief is developed and agreed by both parties before any work begins.

Implementation

Once the brief is signed off, a mood board is created denoting key plants and a planting scheme is drawn up. Each area of the garden is prepared prior to planting.

Aftercare Plan

Every client receives an aftercare plan covering the basics of keeping plants healthy and thriving. A garden review can be arranged after the initial settling-in period.
